best oatmeal ever



fact: this is the best oatmeal you will ever put in your mouth. i'm not even really a huge oatmeal fan...but prepare for your mind to be blown because the trick for tasty, flavorful oatmeal is so incredibly simple. chicken broth. ehhh? yessss, replace the water with chicken broth and prepare as you normally would. now, here's where your creativity can kick in. my FAVORITE is pictured above, which is oatmeal with half an avocado and a sunnyside up egg, sprinkled with yellow curry powder, sea salt, and pepper. i've also made another variation that includes a sunnyside up egg, sauteed spinach, and a slice of swiss cheese. also very good. this oatmeal is far from bland, not to mention still incredibly healthy and full of protein. sooo greatto have before my 6 hours of lectures

raspberry balsamic cupcakes


judging by the amount of time i spent watching foodnetwork reruns this winterbreak, i knew i'd be spending much more time in the kitchen this semester. after watching an episode of the next food network star (season 7) where mary beth albright put balsamic vinegar in one of her frosting recipes, i decided to try and find a similar recipe. and that's how i came across love and olive oil, my new favorite culinary blog. who ever would have thought of putting balsamic vinegar in something so sweet? i sure as hell have no idea, but it does give a tangy kick to the density of the chocolate cake. the recipe calls for balsamic vinegar in both the frosting AND cake.  paired with fresh raspberry balsamic icing and it's game over. all i can say is a baked a dozen yesterday, and there are only 3 left. my stomach hurts...

  4. write out grocery lists before going to the store
  5. stop buying useless shit just for the sake of spending money
Non-Realistic
  1. make a 4.0 this semester
  2. work out 5 times a week for at least an hour
  3. blog daily
  4. stop ordering pizza at 2am
  5. no more online shopping
